of Love
WHAT, WHO, HOW,
WHERE WHY and HELP!
This is a quick-start thumbnail
guide to get you going right away.

WHAT...
...this is: The
Backside of Guardian Island is a
virtual community (on a virtual
Island) which includes a live
community (the Kittery), a
monthly magazine (the Backside
of Love), and a website
(BacksideOfLove.com), among
other things. They all exist to
explore the , which is what we
call any relationship includes
the giving of some measure of
authority to another, the CP to
enforce it, and a sexuality
running through all of it, via
our community, and quality
fiction and non-fiction from
people who actually live
these lives, 24/7.
...this is not: A
personals site, dating site,
cyber-sex trolling ground, porno
site, or anything at all to do
with kids, "barely-legal" or
teen sleaze.
WHO
Basically, we are a RL couple
(Carolyn Faulkner and Unka
Bobby) who live various flavors of the
, 24/7. We've both written about the
most moving and arousing aspects of
these concepts most of our life, and
met as mutual fans. It seemed
inevitable that we would work up
some project into which we could
throw our profound passion and
dedication to the
emotionally-healthy (as well as
impressively arousing!)
relationships that this kind of

HOW to get around
* The
Kittery is a
virtual building divided into
sections, with individual rooms of a
similar theme in each section.
* Stroll through the
Kittery
and get familiar with what's here by
clicking the HOME button, the
left-most of the blue horizontal
menu on the left, just under our
logos at the top of any page, and
then paging down. This will show you
all of the rooms into which you are
permitted (some are private areas
for particular groups of residents).
* Jump to specific places more
quickly with the drop-down nav
menus. Along the bottom of the
picture of the Kittery (top-right of
every page) are the main types of
activities you can jump to here
(READ/PLAY/DISCUSS/HELP/etc). Hover
your cursor over any of these, and a
drop-down menu will appear, with a
list of various areas on the
Backside where you can find that
sort of activity.
WHERE
If what you're most interested in is
talking to other people
about these things, then hop over to
the
Kittery, where people are
gathered to discuss and play, in
forums and in chatrooms.
If you're more shy, or just an
avid reader, then you'll find lots
of delicious fiction and
articles on our umbrella themes in
the
Library.
If you're into
writing about
all of this yourself, and would
like to find other authors, and avid
readers who are clamoring for your
stuff, then maybe the
Backside Writers Guild would be
fun for you.

HELP
There are several
kinds of help available to you here.
Newcomers should start in the
Welcome and Help area of the Kittery
(you may have come here, from
there). Please look through the FAQs
and welcome notices, because they
do include information you need
in order to enjoy yourself here.
In addition, there
are pointers to documentation
available on the bottom-ish-left
side of all pages here in the
Backside's Support Site.
If you've looked
through the available welcome and
help text, and still have a problem,
please visit the
Hall Monitors public room, where
the Kittery moderators can be found.
Check out the questions already
answered first, but if yours isn't
among them, feel free to start a new
thread there posing your question.
It will be answered promptly!
(In addition, any
person with the words "Hall Monitor"
over their avatar on their posts may
be PM'd with a link that's under the
avatar, and will gladly help you out
if they can).
