Help Desk Reading
A Piece
We've tried to make reading our e-zine as
familiar as flipping through a favorite print
magazine would be. So think of your mouse
pointer as a moistened fingertip (how you got it
moist is up to you), and simply click a
page to flip in that direction: Clicking
the right-hand page flips to the next page, and
clicking the left flips back a page. You'll also
see quick-links to any page in the piece you're
reading (as well as Next and Previous page
links, and Next and Previous article links) at the bottom of every Xine page.
At the bottom of every page of an article you'll
find a horizontal menu of options for finding
other places that might be of interest. At
the end of each piece you'll find a quick menu
with several options:
Issue Contents takes you
straight to the cover/main table of contents for this
issue.
This Piece takes you
straight to the beginning of the piece
(article) that you've been reading.
Next piece takes you straight
to the beginning of the next piece (article) in the
issue you're reading.
Help gives you help. :)
Feedback sends you to a simple
way to send us your thoughts or suggestions
about anything at all!
To the right of each page, at the top, you
will always find the Table of Contents for the
issue you're currently reading. Beneath that
you will always find links to other issues, the
Xine's home page, and further help.
the Xine's Display
The Xine was designed to fit on monitors that
can display at least 800 x 600 pixels. If it
overruns to the left or right, then please
right-click on a blank spot on your desktop,
choose Properties > Settings and make sure that
your display is set to at least this size.
If for any reason the page quick-links for a
piece are not visible at the bottom of a page,
please note that clicking either side of a page
will flip to the page in that direction (see
Reading the Xine above).
Subscriptions
All issues of the Xine are available on the
subscriptions page,
which would be a helpful page to bookmark.
Subscribers may log in there to access the
current issue, as well as full versions of all
back-issues, and the other features and services
reserved for members.
For guests, there is always a full
complimentary issue, and samples of all other
issues, as well.
You may subscribe to the Xine
here,
and contact us with any questions
here.
